Welcome to Our Transition Room (2.5–3 Years)

Bridging toddlerhood and preschool with confidence, curiosity, and growing independence!

Our Transition Room is specially designed for those “in-betweeners”—children who are outgrowing the toddler phase but aren’t quite ready for the structure of a full preschool classroom. It’s a space filled with encouragement, exploration, and the tools they need to take the next big step in their learning journey. Here, we use the Creative Curriculum® for Infants, Toddlers & Twos to continue guiding development through play-based learning, hands-on activities, and thoughtful routines. We focus on helping your child develop independence, confidence, and essential self-help skills—all while making learning fun and meaningful. This is a time of tremendous growth—emotionally, socially, and developmentally—and we’re here to celebrate every milestone along the way. In our Transition Room, your child will gain the skills and confidence they need to thrive in the next stage of early learning.

In our Transition Room, children will:

Build creativity and problem solving through art, pretend play, and interactive learning centers

Strengthens language and early literacy through books, songs, and conversations

Continue potty training with positive reinforcement, patience, and close partnership with families

Learn to care for their belongings, follow classroom routines, and take pride in "doing it myself"

Practice social skills like sharing, listening, and taking turns as they build friendships

Prepare for the structure and expectations of our 3-year-old Preschool Room
